Don’t be fooled by this lures skinny diameter and long length as it’s the perfect easy meal for a predator. Long and skinny means easy to whack and destroy with a bill or bite in half and then easily swallow and that is just what seems to happen repeatedly to this lure. It runs deep and fast, catching and reflecting a lot of light off the head as it rockets through the water, then when it does surface, that little cup at the front of the head creates a long, skinny bubble trail. The Crooked Island Candy is a great lure at any time but it really shines at high speed and in rough weather. Rig with 400-500lb leader or wire. Rig on 10/0-11/0 single or double hook rigs.
