NITRO - Custom Squid

Successful squid fishing or “Egiing” is much more than just having the right squid jig; having the right rod makes all the difference to how you present and work that jig. The Custom Squid is an 7ft6in long, 2-piece rod designed to cast 1.8 to 4.0 size squid jigs and is constructed from Class A High Impact Defence Grade Japanese made graphite, epoxy toughened, impact-resistant pre-pregnated, perhaps better known for its use in structural applications in the Boeing Dreamliner 777 aircraft. The Custom Squid was designed as a long-range casting rod to give you maximum coverage of the water and its fast-action ensures that the impulses you impart to the rod are transmitted to the jig even at extreme range and depth. The hardware is Fuji Alconite Low Rider sloped-frame guides and Ultra-Light sloped tip section guides which are designed to eliminate the line-fouling that can occur when slack is introduced into the line from actively working a jig. The reel seat and EVA handles are Fuji and together they form a unitary contoured grip which provides comfort for all day casting.
