Shimano Waxwing is the next generation of sub-surface swimming jigs for saltwater fishermen. Waxwing Jigs look radically different than anything on the market today.

These patent pending jigs swim with a kick that absolutely drives fish nuts. Shimano Waxwing Jigs derive the seductive zig-zag motion from the upper wing, while the lower wing acts as a rudder to prevent rolling.

Working the Shimano Waxwing Jig is extremely easy. Simply cast and reel in. That's it. The Adventure Bound crew had the opportunity to field test the Waxwings with great success off the coast off Bermagui earlier this year. These lures are very durable and feature a paint finish that holds up quite well to fish bites, rocks, etc.

The Waxwing Jigs feature incredibly sharp double tinned Owner hooks. One of the amazing attributes to this lure is the fact that kelp and structure tangles are far and few between due to the fact that the hooks are upward facing versus other lures that feature treble hooks or single siwash hook.

Throughout rigorous field testing, not one lure was lost in kelp or seaweed. Available in 4 sizes to cover all in shore and off shore applications, this size of Waxwing is most suitable when targeting snapper, mulloway, kingfish, big salmon and tailor, tuna, etc.

The Waxwing also comes in a variety of striking colour schemes, most of which have already been applied and proved to work in other successful lures, such as Rapala X-Raps.
